Today I’m sharing some tips and tricks to read your Bible more. Lately I’ve felt unmotivated to read my Bible and spend time with God. I used to have this huge passion for my faith and I want nothing more than to feel that passion again. Being so passionate in my faith influenced my attitude and the way I lived and it truly was one of the best feelings. Luke 24:28-32 talks about this exact thing. So I asked myself this question: how did this passion start? When I look back, it was when I was around people who were passionate for God and for the Word. You become the average of your 5 closest relationships. The enemy wants us to isolate from other Christians. He knows that when we come together, God uses us to encourage and convict each other to keep loving his Word and his people.
Challenge: make a list of your 5 closest relationships. This isn’t a list to decide who to cut out of your life, but rather to take a healthy look at who is influencing you and if they’re influencing you toward passion for God or away. Pray over this list and who you see as passionate for God and how they can have more influence in your life to encourage you in your own faith.
