Sometimes the best things come from the most unexpected times. The way this year went, I never expected Christmas to finally come, but here it is. When Jesus was born, people hadn’t heard from God or a prophet of His for 400 years. Mary was a virgin. Joseph thought about divorce. But God worked in unexpected times and unexpected ways.
My challenge to you on this crazy week before Christmas is to reflect on how God has worked through this unexpected year. This year did not go according to plan for any of us this year. I did not know what to expect for the year and nothing could have prepared me for this. But one thing I do know is that God worked through it and he worked for good. Maybe COVID and its effects were your biggest unexpected event. Maybe relationships with significant others or family did not go according to plan. But regardless of what it was, God works through it and for good.
