How would you react if someone told you that they found Jesus? Excitement? Doubt? Confusion? Curiosity? In John 4, Jesus meets a woman at a well. After some conversation, he tells her that he is the Messiah sent to save the world. He also told her he knew about her 5 marriages/divorces. She gets so worked up and excited that she drops everything to run into town and tell everyone what had just happened. Her message is simple: “He told me everything I ever did! Come and see!” Your job as a follower of Jesus is to do just that: tell people about your experience and relationship with Jesus. You don’t have to have this well-thought-out argument; just witness with excitement about how you’ve seen Jesus transform you!
Challenge: learn something new about Jesus and then share it! Make a habit of this. When you learn something exciting about Jesus, share that excitement and wonder with your friends. As a follower of Jesus, you have a unique calling to bring your friends to Jesus and introduce them. Expect Jesus to surprise you both in your life and in how you share your excitement about Him with other people.
