This is a real difficult topic, y’all. Please understand that I’m not trying to shame anyone who’s been divorced or whose parents have been divorced. Divorce is something that’s surrounded by pain and brokenness. Jesus draws a hard line against divorce because he knows it is so massively painful to couples and kids. In marriage, two people commit that they will always have each others’ backs, no matter what. In marriage, other relationships, and in our relationship with God, we are fall into hurtful behavior. God choses every single day, though, to fully and unconditionally love us. He has your back!
Today’s challenge: thank someone who has your back. Someone who’s been there for you in tough times, maybe even when you’ve been a jerk to them and they stuck it through… because they have your back, and they’re a living example of God’s unconditional love for you.
