My life right now has a lot of ups and downs. Can you relate? In Matthew 8, we see this incredible story of Jesus and his disciples in a boat in a terrible storm. The disciples panic, but Jesus calms the storms with his voice and then asks the disciples, “why didn’t you trust me?” Ultimately yes, I want Jesus to calm the storms going on, but mostly I just need Jesus to be Jesus (the Son of God, the forgiver of sins, the Messiah, etc.).
Today’s challenge: pray to Jesus that you trust him. That you need him to get you through today. That he brings you peace and hope if your days are filled with ups and downs.
