At Gethsemane we actively seek to serve and support the community around us.\u00a0 We show we care and express God’s love as we connect, serve and engage with those around us.\u00a0<\/p>

Gethsemane has partnered with several organizations to provide you with opportunities to serve locally. We also continue to offer donation drives and opportunities to serve our church.\u00a0<\/p>

Gethsemane has committed to preparing dinner the first Monday of every month for the TCAA I-HELP program.
Every night of the year TCAA\u2019s I-HELP shelter program offers home-cooked meals prepared and served by community volunteers, to the men and women sheltered by the program. Meal Providers are groups that plan, prepare, deliver, and serve the evening meal for up to 30 men and women. Meal providers are also welcomed to sit and enjoy the evening meal along with program staff and participants; this exchange of home-cooked meals and social interaction is critical to the healing process for men and women who have been homeless and are now working towards a personal plan for self-sufficiency.<\/p>

Since 1966 Tempe Community Action Agency (TCAA) has dedicated its resources to strengthening families and neighborhoods through initiatives that address the causes and effects of poverty. Their mission is to foster dignity and self-reliance in the economically vulnerable within the communities we serve. This mission is accomplished through the delivery of programs that seek to intervene in homelessness and stabilize housing, promote health upbringings for infants and toddlers, address food insecurity, promote aging in place, and further an individual or family’s economic status. Maggie\u2019s Place welcomes pregnant and parenting women and their children into a safe and loving community, providing life-changing programs and ongoing services to help them to become self-sufficient. Maggie\u2019s Place offers a caring support system and source of hope to women experiencing homelessness during the critical time of pregnancy and baby\u2019s first year. They provide a nurturing and stable home, nutritious food, infant supplies, access to medical care, and programs that are trauma informed, focused on building resiliency and strengthening families.
